To all of our amazing guests, friends and community.

Following the recent announcement from Mr Johnson and the UK Government we have temporarily closed our doors. In an historical announcement, the Chancellor has pledged his support to businesses large and small and as they stand by us, we stand by our team, our guests, our industry and our community.

We will keep working on new projects, ideas and more, so that when we can re open our doors we will be stronger than before.

You can still support our restaurant by purchasing GIFT VOUCHERS now via our website to use towards future visits.

Due to the limitations that people have in shopping, we offer a delivery Produce Box service. This is intended to help and be there for those in isolation and need within our community.  Please let us know what you need the most and we will try to source it for you. Vegetables, fruit, bread, milk, eggs, toilet paper and more. We are happy to stop to other shops if you need something that we don’t have and working alongside with Saltwood General Stores, so if you need biscuits, newspaper, etc just ask us!

Hide and Fox is the culmination of Allister and Alice’s careers in award-winning restaurants and hotels. Now the couple return to Allister’s native Kent, to realise their dream of opening a restaurant driven by their love for hospitality.

About Us

Allister and Alice’s passion for food has taken them on career paths that feature some of the best establishments from Tuscany to Bath, and from Devon to Wales.

In the last 15 years Allister has worked his way from washing pots and opening oysters to head chef at some of the most prestigious properties in England and Wales. Now, his love and passion for cooking bring him back to the ‘garden of England’ for his first own venture.

Alice’s training and experience has brought her across Europe – via some of the continent’s most renowned properties – to the UK, where she has worked with Michelin starred chefs and at award-winning establishments. In 2018 she was named Food and Beverage Manager of the Year for the Hotel Cateys.

Cancellation Policy

We would appreciate if you could give at least 48 hours notice if you need to cancel your reservation. In the unlikely case of a no show, we would charge a fee of £40 per person.

Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements or allergies within the party. We do offer vegan options only on prior request.

Children: small children are welcome to dine with us at lunchtime only and from the a la carte menu, we would also offer daily choices.
